Uppingham Theatre Company is an amateur society founded in 1977 by Christopher Richardson and based in the market town of Uppingham in Rutland. From The Merry Wives of Windsor to The Miracle Worker and from Oliver! to Cinderella, the company has staged a broad range of comedy, drama, musicals and pantomimes. Recent productions have included Helene Hanff's 84 Charing Cross Road, David Landau's Murder At Café Noir and Sir Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters, adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs. The company welcomes performers of all ages and backgrounds, who contribute to the rich mix of its membership.
